More often than not, working in advertising feels like you’re trying to reach a “tough crowd.” I see your unhappy viewer of an un-skippable :15s and raise you making content for Redditors.
Every year, Reddit hosts Mod World, a virtual, live event for moderators to come together to network and hear important updates from Reddit HQ. This was my second year executive creative producing Mod World and I was incredibly excited to come back with learnings from the previous year (and figure out new ways to connect with our discerning audience).
I set out with a few goals: create a schedule that would appeal to new and experienced mods alike, capture a tone that was uniquely Reddit, yet still informative, and do my darndest to make sure nothing went off the rails while we were live.
At the end of the day, thousands of people from all over the world turned in for our moderator panels, the CEO of Reddit, and a whole bunch of mini “commercials.”
